Some good articles to help with public prayer.The first article "Pray out loud" gives some reasons why corporate prayer is beneficial and worth pursuing in our small groups:

Soul Care and UPWARD: Serving Opportunities for you and your group.

UPWARD is an exciting new ministry of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
This sports ministry provides a great opportunity for EBC to meet a community need.
     A quality, safe, encouraging sports program.

In order for this ministry to happen members of Emmanuel need to serve in many different areas.
Your Soul Care group could help in some very practical ways...

• PRAY.  Sign up to get regular prayer updates specific to UPWARD
• SERVE.   On Saturday mornings we need people to serve in the concession stand and/or with clean up after game day.  Each of these opportunities is an hour or less.
• OTHER AREAS.  We are also open to other areas of service.  If you want to find out about other specific things that can be done or you have a specific skill that can be used, email upward@emmanuelbaptist.com
