By God and For God!: TRAINING TIME #5

The video below was made for the children's ministry workers.
After reading Pastor Duke's notes for this Sunday.  I thought it would be helpful for Soul Care leaders also.  Italicized statements are specific for Soul Care leaders.

The training activity is at the end of this post!

As a child of God, my only job is to worship Him and help others see His beauty and saving grace.  our job is to reflect His glory so people SEE HIM.

Training Time #5

"Worship is thinking on purpose, with a genuine heart interest and knowledge about God."

Take five minutes looking at God alone, giving all glory and worship to Him.  Use this time to list as many attributes as you can remember, His creations and His names.

The writer of Teaching Kids Authentic Worship writes "The first time I tried this exercise, I failed miserably...  I confess, I ran out of things to say before my five minute timer sounded.  In fact my mind had already wandered to the [other things and tasks to do]."

The specific training time is to do this once!
Email me after you have spent your five minutes writing things down.
Feel free to share things you were challenged with as it relates to issue of leadership or personal growth.

However, I would encourage you to take regular, planned times to do this.

The next training time is going to be on Transparency When Leading a Group!
