Things to consider for the Fall of 2014

As we prepare for a new year of Soul Care groups, here are a couple of thoughts.
Some of these ideas may seem contradictory but there are no problem-free small group systems, models or strategies

New people like new groups
It is difficult for new people to get connected with groups that have been meeting for over a year.
This is why we will always look to start up new groups.
This is why we want YOU to encourage your group members to invite others to your group.
It is far more effective to teach existing group leaders and members to fill their own groups and focus your limited energy on starting new groups.  Click HERE to read the whole article.

Deep connections take time.
I know several groups have grown very close and have been a huge help to one another in times of need.
This is why we don’t necessarily want to break up every group in the summer and start new in the fall.
This is why we want you to encourage your members to invite others to experience what your group has experienced.

More leaders are needed.
As this ministry of EBC grows, we are going to need more groups and leaders.  We also want to train more and more people to not only lead soul care groups but even more so to disciple other believers.
This is why we want you to be identifying and encouraging others to do Soul Care leader trainings and prayerfully consider starting a new group.
This is why we want to encourage you to encourage your people to invite new people to your group.  So that groups can multiply.

Groups designed for families with children are working but are not without challenge.
We have had good success with families that have gotten connected with Soul Care groups.  Several families that have gotten connected at an even deeper level.
This is why we want to have even more of these groups this year.
This is why we want you to encourage you to encourage your members to invite family to your group or another group.
